This holiday season Delta is having a fare sale on over fifty US cities. To get the best prices, be flexible with your travel dates. Check out the holiday fare sale calendar below! The Super Off-peak days in red are your best chance at the lowest available fare.
Blackouts are generally associated with sales & promotions not regular tickets. Airlines do not sell a lot of seats at discounted fares on days that are most popular for travel. As you can see in the calendar, the only blackout date is the Saturday before Christmas.
Despite high demand, we usually cannot bring in extra planes or add flights to accommodate everyone on peak travel days. So, we have to figure out a way to get people to travel on different dates. If you are flexible, you can take advantage of discounts and sale prices. You will also have a better chance that the middle seat next to you will be empty!
